Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall
Eight students from Chew Valley School performed in an incredible concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night as part of the Children's Proms. Natalie Ward, Jenny Lunness, Kira Cunio, Ruby Burgin, Anne Counsell, Becky Gray, and ex Student Flora Chamberlain all sang as part of a mass choir made up of 450 singers from across three local counties. They performed a new work by composer Philip Harper based on Shakespeare's Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo and Juliet. 150 young instrumentalists made up the Orchestra which accompanied the piece, with our very own Jack Davies playing percussion. Congratulations to them all on representing our school and their county. It was an experience of a lifetime!
