Extremely Extravagant Autumn Extravaganza

The annual Autumn Extravaganza concert was once again a great success on the 29th of November. A total of
fifteen acts performed spectacularly, to a packed hall, showcasing a range of talents from solo work to group
ensembles.

Highlights of the night included a beautiful performance from our school Chamber Choir and an extract from
our up and coming annual school production: Jesus Christ Superstar!

The Jesus Christ Superstar group performed three songs from the musical. Accompanying the cast was the
stupendous band for this year’s production, set to be performed in March 2018.
Also performing were two GCSE year 10 groups with renditions of the popular ballads ‘Rock Around the Clock’
and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.

Closing the show were the Year 11 super group, ‘Runaway’ who performed ‘Hard Times’ and ‘The Chain’.
Of course the concert wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing help and planning from the music
department here at Chew, and the teachers Mrs Gordon, Mr Stinchcombe, Mrs Morgan and amazing technician
team led by Mr Kendall. Also special thanks to the backstage team helped by Mr Walford.
