Ski Trip to Les Menuires
Forty four happy students and three members of staff recently returned to Chew Valley School after a week of glorious sunshine and skiing in the French Alps.
Mr Kenny said, “The students were fantastic and a credit to the school. They made exceptional progress on the slopes and were commended for their outstanding politeness and respect towards the hotel staff, ski rep and ski instructors. One day I travelled up the mountain in a cable car and a British family asked if I was from Chew Valley. It transpired that they had been talking to some of our students the day before and they were amazed at how articulate and engaging they were. What great ambassadors for the school! Our instructors were truly taken back by the enthusiasm from our groups and the responsiveness to their tuition’.
Amongst the many comments from the students were, “We’ve had a great day, amazing!”, “We’ve had a great time, thank you so much for taking us” and “The instructors were very friendly and helpful”. Needless to say, many students will have come back from the trip with great stories and endless footage from their exploits! Hopefully, some of them will have happy memories that live long into the future.
Thank you to the adults who joined the trip. What a fantastic team and thank you all so much.
Next year, we are planning to go to Alpe D’Huez on the 24th March. Letters are in reception, or please speak to Mr Kenny for more information.
