Year 7 Carol Concert

The traditional Year 7 carol concert happened on a cold, frosty morning on 12th December starting the school’s Christmas celebrations in fine style.

After the short walk through Chew Magna, we were delighted to reach St Andrews and a little warmth!
The service contained some lovely old fashioned communal carols such a O Little Town of Bethlehem, and a French and Spanish carol rousingly sung by the Year 7s.

Some brave Year 7 students: Lucy Hayes, Phoebe Thomas, Jacob Hope, Tom Rogers and Edite Castellino, all from 7H, read some beautiful poems chosen by Mrs Bird.

The most special and touching moment of the ceremony is when each tutor group lights a candle and gives a wish for the world.

As usual, the self-less and thoughtful responses remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.

The school is always delighted that Rev Roberts and the team at St Andrews allow us the use of their ancient
and stunning church for this special tradition.
